FARROWING CRATES

The Crystal Spring Farrowing Crate system combines the distinction of galvanized steel construction, the advantages of a stainless steel wet/dry sow feeder and a durable flooring system to promote an efficient farrowing facility.

Designed for the comfort of the sow, safety of the piglet and ease of use. Performance and reliability will give you value for money!

• Crate Construction. Heavy duty 1" (2.5cm) Galvanized square tubing is welded and bolted together. Easy to assemble.

• Anti Crush Bars. Increases livability and safety of piglets. Bars swing up easily upon rising and rest quietly against heavy duty rubber bumpers upon falling. The sow is required to lie down in two motions. First, the sow must use a swishing motion that reduces crushing of piglets.
• Farrowing Guard. Protects piglets during farrowing by preventing the sow from resting against the back gate. Protects gilts or sows from vulva damage.
• Durable flooring system to promote an efficient farrowing facility
• Raised Deck. Sow deck is 1" higher than creep area which makes it easier for piglets to reach the lower nipple.
• Multiple Crate Sizes. With genetically longer sows and larger litters, the crates can be customized to fit your needs. Crates are either 2.13m or 2.29m in length. Decking comes in 1.52m, 1.68m and 1.83m widths.
• Quick-Release Latch. Unique latch is pig proof that can be operated with one hand. The jam-free latch facilitates the moving of aniimals.
• Options/Accessories. Feeders, crates and flooring can be sold separately. Wet/dry sow feeders are available in 12' and 15' (30.5cm and 38.1cm) models. Creep flooring is available in plastic-coated or plastic options. Accessories that enhance the Farrowing crate system include: Stainless Steel creep feeder, plastic creep feeder, creep penning, hot water heating pad, stainless steel water pipe.

GESTATION STALLS

Crystal Spring Gestation Stalls are durable made of either 1" square tube or 3/4" solid rod.

• Crates are fully galvanized or powder coated.

• Choice of straight or sloped front gates.

• Choice of rear doors being standard or for Artificial Insemination.

• All Gestation stalls come with stainless steel feet.

• Gestation stalls come with an optional feed tube.

• Gestation stalls are 2.13m long and .60m inside to inside wide.

STEEL PENNING

Crystal Spring offers a complete line of pig penning. Penning includes nursery, finisher and breeding penning.
All penning is made with a 1" square tube top, with 1/2" solid rods spaced appropriately for the type of pig it will house. The bottom rod is made from 3/4" rod.
Steel Penning comes galvanized or powder coated.
Penning is custom made and includes all posts and fastners.

PENNING - PVC PLANKING

• Constructed of 1-1/2" x 6-1/2" tongue and groove PVC Planking

• 4 high (26") for pigs up to 50lbs
  5 high (32-1/2" for pigs up to 120lbs
  6 high (39") for finisher pigs

• It is available with a complete set of heavy duty stainless steel hardware including wall channels, 3 loop end wall channels, corner angles, stiffeners, feeder channels, 3-6-or 9 loop channel posts, bull nose gate channels and stainless steel bolts with lock nuts and solid PVC rods.
